When “Multiple text” type question is selected, a configuration button will be visible:
Once clicked on it, it becomes possible to add total configuration to the question.
Min total – minimum value total can be
Max total – maximum value total can be. If you want to have an exact value as a total, add the same number in both “Min total” and “Max total” inputs.
Inputs to include – select if all “numeric” type inputs should be included or only specific ones. If “Specific numeric” is selected from the drop-down menu, you will be asked to note the codes of the inputs you want to be included in total summing.
Prefix and Suffix – enter a symbol or text you want to be presented as a prefix or suffix of the total calculation.
Toggles “Progress bar total” or “Total field counter” – choose from 2 different total indicators to show to the respondent. Only one can be enabled at a time for the question. If none of them are enabled, the question will not show any total counter, but the total logic will still work.

It is an animated tracker, showing the sum of inputs and the goal, also counting the remaining value and showing it to the respondent above the question:
