Distribution is used for collecting respondents' answers to your surveys.
START A NEW PANEL DISTRIBUTION
At Syno Cloud:
- Go to Distribution > Panel > Distributions
- Click “+ New distribution” and provide the details:
Then click Save and “+ Add new target group”.
CREATE A TARGET GROUP
The settings:
- Name your target group and select a provider of panels: Syno or Cint.
- Select a country, a survey language, and a survey tool.
- If the survey was scripted in Survey or SynoTool:
- The language must be the same as the one which was used in the scripted survey for a particular country.
- Select the survey, and the live and test links will be put automatically.
- If the survey is scripted in an external tool:
- The live and test links should be inserted manually.
- The redirection links should be copied into the external tool.
- Select survey parameters: number of completes, days in field, projected incidence rate (IR) and length of interview (LOI).
- For the Syno provider you can use either auto CPI mode or fixed CPI mode. For the latter one, if the specified CPI is lower than the panel’s CPI based on the parameters, invitations won't be sent to that panel.
- Consider setting enough days in field, as the target group will be automatically stopped when the days in field expires.
- It is important to mark if there is personally identifiable information (PII) asked in the survey, such as name, phone number or e-mail.
The targeting:
- Select gender, age limits, and regions according to your target group requirements.
- Select necessary panels (note that for the fixed CPI mode some panels can be excluded from the sample).
- Panelist pool can be used if you want include or exclude panelists based on the status of previous surveys or according to their IDs.
- Profiling can be used to target the respondents, e.g., those that have a car, doing sports, etc.
- Set quotas: census (national representative) or custom, with a possibility to interlock them (usually gender X age).
LAUNCH A TARGET GROUP
- At the bottom of the window there are stated the feasibility and the estimated costs.
- Click “Test” to test your survey using an auto generated link.
- It is recommended to start with a soft launch, setting the target for 5-10% of total needed completes.
- If the soft launch went smoothly, launch your survey fully.
